During these past few months, I have seen that the spirit within
ECI was so upbeat--whether it was at the football games or at the green
and gold days. The first ever pep rally was something that really
brought out school spirit. We had a great amount of fun seeing the
teams play or an even greater amount for those select few who had the pleasure
of playing. The girls' basketball team made it to the finals with
strength and determination, and with all the support we had given to them,
they wouldn’t have been there if is were not for every one of us supporting
them. Both football teams did an excellent job of making it to the
playoffs, but the downer was getting defeated in the last few games before
the finals. I personally enjoyed the green and gold days where we
would dress up as much as we could in the team colours to support our Rams
to victory.
When it came to White Pine, an event which the grade 9’s will
be experiencing next year, I saw a lot of spirit come out from both the
campers and the counselors. It was as if we were all experiencing
it together for the first time. The spirit shown among students and
teachers alike has brought lots of fun to people who are new to ECI or
Canada overall.
The CN Tower stair climb, organized by the Charity Committee,
was a huge success for ECI as we raised over $4500 and were the biggest
group! Good job RAMS!
The school’s spirit is at an all time high and is going through
the roof. Keep up the spirit, for we can achieve anything if we put
our minds to it. GO RAMS GO!
