Co-operative Education:
Students placed in the work force, must fill out an option sheet and select more than one type of placement in case you don't get the first choice. Marks are also taken into consideration (average to high marks) and it depends on the placements, prospective employers do ask for marks (i.e. Lab Placement: high 90s). Once there, students are expected to maintain good attendance and must at least be passing all their current courses in school.

The Total number of required hours needed for one school year is 220 hours (for one co-op course(, for both in-school and out of school components. Once that has been achieved students will receive either 2 or 4 credits depending if the students takes one or two co-op course, however if a OAC students decides to take co-op, grade 12 credits are given. |
